Can you use this without the ZL1 absorber?

All 2012 models have the ZL1 absorber if I remember correctly.
You can use your stock absorber, just have to modify it a little to fit the clips or something, no biggie

Ok, where are you getting your ZL1 rear diffusers? Partshouse does not show it available and Partsdirect want 104.00 just to ship it.

So I know I didnt get the ZL1 diffuser yet, but I got quad tips, which is half the battle. If anyone is doing what I did, getting exhaust and then getting the ZL1 diffuser later, just know that according to most of the pictures ive seen, the tips should be centered with the post inbetween the taillights. That way when you do get the diffuser, no modification to the exhaust will be needed.

I hope to join you guys with the ZL1 diffuser soon!

I have the diffuser painted and ready to go. I am fighting with what to do with the exhaust. I know it will need modifying to center the dual tips, or get tips fabricated circa $350. What is everyone doing here, and what after market exhausts you using?
I have the SOLO which is one piece from the center box to the tip (tip is welded) so there is no movement or adjustment. Other systems like SW and MBRP are in sections and look like they can be adjusted, or even a slight cut to center them in the diffuser cut-out ready for off the shelf dual tips.
I want to do this over the Christmas break so will need to order something PDQ
Cheers

I bought my quad tips of the internet, and had a shop center them. Cost 75$ per side I think.

They wont be able to just bend it, then the angle would be wrong. They will have to cut and move the hangers, cut the old tips off, and probably add a coupler to lengthen the pipe.

I used my '10 absorber, yes, you are correct that the locating tabs on each of the extension tabs are at different angles, but the end result is they are even across the bottom of the absorber. I just cut the locating tabs & drilled for a 2nd rivit.

Each tab is marked "Outboard L", "Inboard L", "Inboard R", and "Outboard R"

I didn't have a template, that would have made it easier, but the cuts seem to run just about 1/4" above the lower body line. Some careful measuring and a steady hand with a dremel with a cut-off wheel worked well for me.

The extra hole in the picture is from a prior splash guard install.

Hope this helps, and Ofer for starting this thread!
what is that bracket called in the picture with just the "bracket" and the mudflap?

So If I just order the whole rear bumper (22894196) does it come complete as the rear bumper with the ZL1 diffuser etc? All I need in the absorber?
