I'm going with the 6 speed 2LT V6 RS / convienence. If I can expect to drop the price that much maybe I'll add on the NPP exhaust! Ultimately, my target price was around $32,000. But, given what I want and the way cars have increased in price I realized that wasn't a realistic expectation. Cross shopping the 3.6 ATS this same car is ~ $45k! So, in a way it's a steal. |

Also going to possibly peak at a 2SS auto and NPP but man that's a lot of $$$. I dont like the spoiler on it at all and would have to get different tires due to them being summer...so I think Im more inclined to the V6. Definitely wish they had a less 'track' oriented SS that was basically with all season tires, 19" wheels, sport suspension and a few other features to bring the price down. Reading the 3.6 ATS that thing is SICK isn't it? Makes me think the 3.6 2LT is going to be an amazing car and all I really need. |

I keep hearing these different terms in regard to dealer invoice, invoice, dealer pricing, etc. and they are all starting to sound the same to me. There were also other discounts mentioned throughout this thread. My husband ordered my 2010 in 2009 and we got a 1SS/RS for around $33,000.
This time I am going to do it myself and get a fully decked out 2SS. I just want to make sure I am getting the right deal and not paying any extra fees, especially because I am a woman and everyone thinks women don't know anything about cars. I know the dealership he bought from was trying to charge a premium and extra fees. He simply told him he would go somewhere else if they did. |

I am still shocked we don't know the full price of the cars including LPO options with roughly 2 weeks until the first potential production week.

Curious if anyone has found the price for the ground effects kit? Or is some thing ordered from the parts department afterwards?

The lip kit (yes, I'm annoyed that GM is mislabeling it as a ground effects kit) is LPO (aka dealer installed option).
Off the bat, expect 2000$ painted + install (unless you order it with the kit and negotiate free install in your deal). You will also be able to order it from the parts department afterwards. |

Thank you for the information, although I do not see why you are mad because in my opinion it is a ground effects kit. Front Bumper side and rear. Yes not the gaudy huge plastic crap that was popular on civics in the 90's. Does not affect the ground clearance that much.
If you look at the accessories available can even get the blacked out version and install it yourself. If it makes you happier since you are in Jacksonville. I have a chevrolet hook up parts and body guy. If you buy a new 2016 camaro let me know. Edit: Maybe you meant it should have been called a body kit. That is really what the aftermarket would call it. A true ground effects kit would replace the entire front and rear bumper with side skirts. Last edited by drivingagain; 09-25-2015 at 10:36 AM. |

Ground effects close the gap between the lower body and the ground, making it look like the car has been lowered, but the frame is still the same height off the ground as it was before. A lip kit replaces or adds to existing body panels without lowering any of the line heights on the car, which is what that kit is. It is just front and side splitters with a matching diffuser cover for the rear.
Both are types of body kits, as they alter or replace body panels. The anger is from the general dislike of companies not properly naming products because they think the wrong name sounds cooler and will help sell it. |

It appears the 6-piston brakes and trims piece prices were added?
