How about pressure and the slave cylinder, neither of which has anything to do with the driver. Thanks anyway for your opinion, but this is for those who are seriously experiencing clutch problems due to manufacturer defects.
I'm just trying to help you out man. I personally think if a whole bunch of people rant on and on about how bad the clutch is in their car then I think it would be better if they said along side their rants that, "yes I know what I'm doing". I'm not making an accusation that "you" don't know how to drive. That was not my intent and I apologize if you thought it was. I am trying to help "YOU" make "your" thread statistics look more concrete with GM.

Also, you asked for information on any clutch problem. Not ONLY the Hydraulic issue. And some clutch problems can be caused by "the driver" 5 miles from the dealer they bought the car from. So

Well, I am thinking, the next time my clutch sticks, either to the floor or 1/2 way, I am shutting the car down and having it towed to the dealer AS IS. This way they can see the condition it is in. However, I can say, since I had the break/clutch fluid cap replaced, it has not happened. I am not getting any burning clutch smell, however, the HERKY JERKY is really bad when cold and always occurs even after car is warmed up, 4th gear running about 45-40 decellerating, which is about 1800-2000RPMS ....The kids in the back seat complained yesterday, "Stop rocking the car". It's really bad.

Its cool. I understand the driver can cause a problem. But those people who have never drove a clutch usually kill it, slip it kinda like we all did the first time we drove one. And I dont ever remember the clutch pedal sticking.

Clutch pedal sticks 1/2 way down on an agressive launch (& smokes clutch).

Trans refuses to shift to second above 5000 RPM (just grinds, probably due to a warped clutch disc or worn throwout bearing/actuator).

Drive it in there. As soon as it cools down that pedal will come back where it should be. At least mine always does. There is a hydrolic issue and your cap is proving what I have been told. I have friends that build race cars for a living at Jerry Bickel that made the front page of camaro 5 a couple of days ago. They want to tear into it but Im affraid to let them. If all else fails that is what is going to happen new clutch, seperate resevoir and everything and just void the warranty.

#3978 - I had the gear grinding issue on first to second shifts a couple of times and the clutch not coming all the way up once (only happed when trying to shift at higher RPM's). Took it to the dealer, he called GM and they said to replace the clutch, pressure plate and clutch slave cylinder. Just got it back yesterday and the clutch feels much better but I have not had a chance to really check it out. Maybe Sunday if the roads are dry......

9204xx Clutch occasionally stinks when taking off on an incline, not slipping, not driver error. Has failed to go into 2nd a couple of times at high RPMs. Been driving a manual for 20+ years.

I have sticking issues, especially in 2 and 3rd, notchy shifting, different clutch pedal engagement almost all the time, difficult shifting into second gear and third at high rpms. :(

Pedal sticks halfway under hard launches. BAD smell every once in a while taking off from a stop.

You think that's bad...try pulling into your garage with a friend who is worshipping your car and have it stink up the entire garage with burnt clutch smell just from pulling the car in.

Him: "Man, that smells terrible, what is that??"
Me: "Well it's my car, but apparently it's 'normal'."
Him: "Wow."
