Adding ice to the mix you are running will not cause any long term problems. We do not suggest running strictly ice/water especially for street use

So all the pictures of S/Cs corroded and stories from water/melted ice are not true?

If you want to avoid any problems 100% you can make your own ice from distilled water. There are always going to be horror stories.

We had the car at the track last night and with 69* ambient air our IAT's never got over 118F......and they started at 109F, which means this is less than a 10* rise in IAT's.
When we had this car on the track before with more humidity and about 78* ambient we were starting around 120 and ending up at 140. The tank takes a ton of ice....it is great. We will have a package with the tank and HX up on the site as well as a non fan version of the HX |

Intercooler Tank Results
Finally some results!!!
As many of you know calibrators have to pull timing once your IAT's reach a certain level. By adding the tank alone and packing it with ice we were able to reduce the IATs well over 10* (the consistent drop was 10) and reduce the rise that we normally see to 2* when it is normally well over 12*. This allowed us to run full timing on the street and the each pass down the track, which resulted in 1.5/10 quicker ET at the drag strip. These are in stock, in the shelf and ready to go and are now for sale at an ALL NEW LOWER PRICE |

okay, say Maggie people like me don't take our cars to the track but we still want this tank for everyday use. will running it with the normal fluid give us any benefit due to the increase capacity or no?
like I said, I don't take my car to the track. but I'd think about this if it's going to help my IATs in the long run. I'm in the Orlando area and as you guys know, the FL summertime weather is brutal.

These are intended to run on the street, strip or both. You will notice a big difference. I do suggest running some Royal Purple Water wetter with it |

Nothing to do with this thread, but due to the nature of the IC on my wrx, a fun trick was to take a bunch of ice cubes and lay them on top of the intercooler, it would provide an extra "kick" for a little while. I always thought about making a mold where I could pull it out and have it "fit' into the intercooler, haha.

Can this tank be used or converted to a methanol tank?

I wouldn't see why not. only problem u might have is not being able to see the fluid level clearly like how most guys do with the plastic containers. otherwise you'd have to take the cap off to check your level.

Looks great, just ordered. Hope it can help my iat's during the summer..I have a question regarding using this in a KB setup. The KB tank has 2-3way brass fittings at their coolant tank, smaller line from front of sc and larger going to IC or pump. What fittings are used in your tank? Also the spot where your tank is placed is where the washer tank is relocated to.
