Why didn't your "friend" do everything in your ,I mean his, power to get that crap off the car right away.

On a serious note PQ, I asked buddy of mine this morning about what you could do. He's in the tire business.

He read this to me on the back of a new can of fix a flat.
While the Fix-A-Flat® product is in a liquid state, it is water soluble and can be removed with a paper towel or rag or preferably, soap and water. Once it has dried Fix-A-Flat® must be removed using odorless, mineral spirits (normally available at hardware stores).

go and see your favorite body shop and ask them what works - they should be able to try some different things and then detail it for you... ahem - for your friend.

You'll just wind up scratching it trying different stuff - let the experts do it for you.

This may or may not work but try spraying some Fix a Flat into a seperate container and with a Q-tip dab some Fix a Flat on a dried spot and see if it will reactivate the dried Fix a Flat.

Whatever you do, I would practice on the glass. I hate to throw this out there, how about a single edge razor blade. Obviously, you will need to be extremely careful.

mineral spirits on the end of a qtip will remove it. soak the end of a qtip with mineral spirits and blotch it on it. wait a few seconds and then it will come right off. i am 99% sure it will not harm your paint at all. but maybe junkman would know better. but i know for sure mineral spirits will do the trick.

Mineral spirits is petroleum based. I wouldn't consider this an option because you risk etching the paint. On a black car that will really show up.

I don't doubt it working, but very risky.

The story remains the same. My brother in law turned the compresor on and it was on the fix-a-flat part of the setting. It sprayed all over.

Problem is I couldn't wash it off that night, and now I'm left with this.

Did you break any bones on this one?

Avoid using mineral spirits on the paint at all costs.

Have you tried WD-40? It's safe on the paint.

You got me thinking perhaps try an old credit card on the glass to see if that would work.

That is one of the things that is recommended to remove coraline algae off of the glass in an aquarium.

I do have a special blade for that that works better.

hey everyone i just reached out to fixaflat and there technical department via email and here is a copy of the email they sent me back.

Dear Chuck,

Thank you for your inquiry.

We recommend mineral spirits to dissolve the Fix a Flat. Dampen a rag
with mineral spirits and lightly rub the affected area. When done,
wash the affected area and rinse well. Next, apply a coat of wax to
the affected area.
