they still dont give you much option...all it is doing is making the buttons bigger...doesnt give you the true paddle shift feel..for those that roadrace they are still gonna turn when you turn the wheel...i want somebody to come out with stationary levers that dont move with the wheel...that would be ideal

Our automatic shifters with tap shift controls puts the buttons on the shifter where they belong. No chasing them around the wheel, easy shifting under any circumstances. Also the oversized levers look like they may be a tight fit with directional wiper controls.

This would be better. Tight hairpins on a mountain side no fun with buttons on wheel. Yes where can we get these?

And for the B&M video said early next year if proved out o.k.

There are many circumstances where the wheel buttons are just not accessible.I found that shifting from the shifter is the most comfortable and logical location for the buttons. Check out the reviews from some of those who have purchased them. L99 shifter with tap shift

Much rather have that Hurst shifter than those huge levers attached to my steering column...
Tap Shift is worthless anyway...IMHO

I agree that any levers added to the wheel buttons are not much of an improvement. They still turn with the wheel and some of the larger ones being introduced make using the directionals and wiper controls much more difficult. I disagree about tap shift being useless, put the controls on the shifter for ease of use and the tap shift feature is awesome.

the B&M paddle shift unit should be avail by Jan. The "paddles" themselves will likely be smaller than originally shown and brought inward for better user control and driver comfort. The responses at the show were overwhelming from what I heard. Put this in conjunction with the hurst auto shifter and that's a slick set up
