My car has been called the batomobile atleast 50 times since I took ownership two years ago. I noticed people call CGM and Black cars that a lot.

I get a Batmobile comment seems like once a week. However, after 18 months I just got a transformers reference.

At lunch, I'm starting to back up from a Walmart parking space and I see in the rear view miror two guys like in their twenties with their phones up taking pictures of the car. Well, they just stand there doing that. I had plenty of room to back up, but I just had to know what they were doing.

So, I get out and say hey. They say in a British accent, "You've got the transformers car!". Turns out they are here from South Africa for a triathlon. They were very polite and also asked to see/video the engine. They asked a lot about the car. It was fun and I gave them a good engine rev taking off.

Just wondering...are there no Camaros in South Africa?

one of my friends asked me to dress like BATMAN and come in my car to her nephews 5th birthday. EH i might do it..love making kids dream come true

A black Cadillac was used in a 1943 serial

The original TV series (1964 - 1968) and the 1966 film Batman used a modified version of the Lincoln Futura concept car - a car which was never put into mass production.
The car used in Batman and Batman Returns was built on the chassis of a Chevrolet Impala.
The car used in Batman Forever was, in its entirety, a custom build and proprietary design.
In The Dark Night, the vehicle is no longer referred to as the Batmobile. It is also an entirely proprietary, custom built design.
