Not 4 Racing. Will it? Doubtful. Why get it instead of SS?

Because it is the "highest performance Camaro ever made on the production line".... and, because

It is simply the best looking design (IMHO) ever to come along in over 40 years.... if not ever! Many thanks go Camaro team for getting this done before it was too late! Al O., Cheryl P, Scott S, Ed W, and so many others... Just another chance to say "thank you"...

I thinking of going on some type of long road course where I can go 80 or 90 miles an hour legally for fun. The drag strip I would imagine after awhile would get kinda boring after awhile. As far as modding yes getting that done as well, not so much for the HP increase as to improve the quality of the parts. Saving all my original parts in case I want to switch back latter on. I'm not buying this car for collecters value so much as its fun value for me only. I'm also planning to go to some car events in my area, once I have some more free time from work. The car is awesome
THANKYOU GM .

I had mine on track at barely 1 week old at the NFME f-body event. I won the car show for 5th gen that weekend also with it covered in brake dust.

You can go a LOT faster than 80 or 90 mph on a road course. And you can do it lap after lap after lap!

Going to the drag strip tomorrow. I will not flog this car all the time. Maybe one or two trips a year. I have have purpose built drag cars to really beat on!

Track and daily driver

My ZL1 has compiled about 600 miles of HPDE events so far. And if work schedule permits it will get a few more before the end of the year.

I think it is worth differentiating between racing and HPDE events however. HPDE events are not "rubbing is racing" events but meant to allow people on the road race track with controlled passing rules and they also provide instructors to ride along. This for me provides a good way to use the capabilities of the ZL1 and increase my driving skills.

Yes I know, but to at least to start out at, I'll stay around that. Once
I get use to the car more I may push it more, but this will be my
first experience with driving on a track. Looking forward to it, I had
a taste of it in the caravan to Indie hit a turn down the mountain and
did half a G force. My wife had some white knuckles but survived.

80-90mph is just my daily commute to work. Road course is usually 80mph in the short straights and alot of the turns, 140mph in the long straights.
