You may know this, but the antenna located to the rear was an option. Nice to here that you are driving and enjoying your ride!

Looking great! I just bought a 69 on Feb 11th. It is a 327 also with the 2 spd powerglide. I am doing 4 wheel disc and some suspension work to it in a week or 2. I have wanted a 1st gen for 25+ yrs and it is awesome to final have one. You have a beautiful car there!

That air cleaner needs to go. You will have a backfire once and that element will BURN with gas fumes. Get a round air cleaner as soon as possible is my beat advice. Save your paint on the hood at a minimum. THINK about it.

Nice power upgrade! Not having power steering and brakes will make things a little harder. I had a '68 Vette with 327/350 hp, 4 speed, no power brakes. That brake pedal was hard as a rock!

I have not looked at this thread in a long time. I was hoping to see this gem left in original unmolested condition.

Ah well...

Another poster gave you sound advice. Get rid of that mesh air cleaner before it burns.

i get it

I have all the docs for this orig gold COUPE as well as I kept the numbers matching 327 that was smoking its in my shop on a engine stand with the orig flat hood.

im getting ready to revamp the whole syspension with tube arms and coil over shocks and rear shocks from QA1 comp eng frame connectors ft disc brakes ect ect for more enjoyable ride.

BUT REST ASSURED im cleaning and painting all orig parts to ONE DAY put it all back as orig solid gold 327 2bal drum brakes will be awhile but it will be done when I get older for now shes a blast....
