Most tire companies will void a tire warranty because most of the chemicals in the tire sealents will begin to break down the inside of the tire over time.

Having said that, it is a mute point because once a tire gets a nail in it, the warranties are voided anyway.

The sealent is not very friendly to the sensor either.

Roadside assitance

The Camaro comes with 5 year 100,000 mile roadside assitance I have already had to use it and I totally reccomend it. Just call them and they will carry your car to a dealer to fix the tire.

Does that sealant mess up your tire pressure sensors.

Yes, in general it can - not sure about the stuff that comes with the Camaro. My G6 has TPMS and there is a warning in the owners manual that sealants will damage the sensors.

Suggest you look in the classified section of this forum. There's always members selling complete sets.

Hi Guys,
I had a flat tire on my SS last year, a piece of shredded metal in the side wall made it un-repairable so I had to use the OEM tire sealant and ran on the tire for a few days about 100 miles before I could get the new Pirelli’s. It worked well and was easy to use.

Although you can't drive faster than 50 mph because of the vibration it creates in the tire. My sensor work well during and after I replaced the tire.

My Car had less than 5000 miles on it when it happened and I only changed one rear tire, I do not suggest anyone to do it. It will cause' a misalignment of your car after another 5000 miles and wrapped rotors because of the uneven tires.

...just my 2 cents...

That is good to know, but what if your tire gets damaged at night? Dealerships are closed. Will GM tow it to your house and then the next day to the dealership?
