I did not weight the car for a baseline and after but I can tell you that cats are a good 2 pounds each.

I finally decided to get the reverse lights done in LED, thank you lDejavul for telling me to grab the Philips warning cancelers. Talk about plug and play and Sledge for the guide + bulbs on how to do it. I did find it much easier to just take off the damn taillights like you said, much much easier as trying to do it without taking it off was PITA. The LED's are pretty bright but in those pictures they look like the SUN. It isn't THAT bright and annoying. Also matched my trunk and plate lights perfectly as well.
After that, I decided to upgrade my radar detector. I've had the 9500ix but now have the max 360 with the blendmount (che-007 / bmx 2027). Here are some pictures below. Next up should be the intake as they will be coming out by this months end. Will go for the GM one first or just wait it out and grab the AFE one. Time will tell... |

LOVE this.. Question, how quickly can you dismount the detector? Say, getting pulled over, or parking somewhere sketchy? |

Removing the radar detector is really easy. Just leave the mount on there though as it is a bit PITA to remove and all. There is a lever above the radar detector that's on the blendmount that you press up and just slide the detector down. Takes about 2 seconds to do, so you can remove it np.
I am not using the MirrorTap, I have the Escort Hardwire kit running from the BCM accessories port. I don't like AutoMute function nor do I want to reach to the detector to mute. Sometimes, I like to keep the KA band keep beeping, sometimes I don't... Just one of those things about having total control haha. Why I love manual transmission |

It works with the standard and the auto-dimming mirrors. You tap the purple wire for power, and black for ground. Below are my install pics on my C7 w/standard mirror. Notched the mirror harness cover with my Dremel. MirrorTap wire run with cover back in place. BlendMount installed. Initial hanging. Adjusted, aligned, and powered up (before I tucked the wire). |

Just to update the thread... I wanted to lay out my future plans a little bit now that I have some what of a bearing to it as well as I have made up my mind quite a bit instead of changing it 50 times lol.
Power stuff: - Stock Tri-y Headers ported @ SoCal Porting by Ruben. Will be installed most likely by 21st Century Muscle Cars in Addison, TX (currently waiting on stock take off headers for zero downtime on my car) - Borla Xpipe, bolted to primary cats to stock NPP cut then borla clamped somewhere before the muffler (assuming it is a copy of their C7 xpipe) - Mishi/AFE intake As for cosmetic stuff: - Black front splitter - Black Blade Spoiler (once we have a definite fix on the issue of the current one) - MRC lowering springs, most likely GM one if not, I will find whomever the supplier is and get theirs. After all those things... I will be left itching to do some stuff but I will figure that out once the time comes. I can tell you that I will always be enjoying the hell out of my car even without boosting My initial goal was to drive the 2SS for a couple years and trade it in for the ZL1 but that won't be happening. So 2018, 2020 (more likely) model ZL1 just might be added to the stables Time will tell! |

Hopefully the Borla replaces the crushed portion of the NPP pipes, otherwise, you should cut and replace that section too.

Good call!!! Maybe they will. They haven't really said jack about their stuff lol. If not, it's at least a very easy and cheap fix though!

Just ordered me a dash cam. Been wanting these for a while and since I won't be able to get a PDR, ever on this car from GM. I decided to go this route.
Dash cam: http://www.amazon.com/Wirecutters-Z-...=AV07WFH1V5VEQ Dash cam hardwire kit: http://www.amazon.com/The-Dashcam-St...A2UMN56R7L94WO And to update: I have used the dashcam hardwire kit from the dashcamstore, I did not install it myself but the guy installing it said that it harder to pull things apart and put it back together than installing it haha. It is a 4k camera however I recorded this @ 1080p due to being able to record more than double the time with it haha. I can also record it with no audio OR just roll up my windows, the wind noise ruins the videos, so I am just sharing the one with less wind noise: https://youtu.be/zWVUHcrlUTc
