Unfortunately I didn't attempt to do the chrome until after I finished swaping out the grill and had put the front fascia back on. It was a pain in the rear. I ended up making a template out of some thick paper and used that to mark & cut the 3M paper. I also had to use a thin plastic card to help push the 3M contact paper in between the chrome piece and the fascia surrounding it. Just take your time.

OK thanks for the tips I will have to give it a go after some more research.
