Glad to see I wasn't the only one thinking this. I can just see the marks in the paint now.

Agreed. I used to tint windows as a side bus for years. Recently installed a clear bra for a neighbors Jetta and was not as hard as I expected. All this stuff takes patience and good cutting skills.

Wraps do take a lot of patience. I have worked on a C5 Corvette that we wrapped in flat black. Definately not something I would want to do everyday. but wraps can last a few years if a good quality vinyl is used... and they do not do anything really for paint protection. Vinyl does not have the same protective qualities that paint protection film does. So if anyone is thinking of getting a wrap its something to consider.

Having had 6 xB's partially wrapped 3 years ago (by Transport Graphics in Springfield, MO-they tend to be pricier than anybody in the area but as the old saying goes... You get what you pay for.) I can say that the vinyl used on our cars have outlasted the 2 year forecast TG gave. Cost for this including full rear + rear window (that didn't last as long) was 1500 a piece. We are preparing to partially wrap 6 Camaros and they should be done in a few weeks. Most of the other cars have had the vinyl rmoved and I've yet to see any xacto cuts anywhere on the cars nor paint fade. I guess it depends on the skills of the installer.
