I had same issue, turned out to be blend door. Luckily it was covered by cpo warranty. $$ fix.

I don't think its the blend door because its ok until it heat soaks.

I agree that some of these cars have as good an A/C system as any. And it's a very small interior to cool. But...I just did the hack and I still have passenger side vents blowing hotter than the driver's side. I'm convinced that the blend door is not closing all the way to seal off the heat. Hoping a real calibration will fix it. I'll report back next spring...
