Don't paint the calipers. Powdercoat them. It lasts longer and looks a lot better.

why not? it is probably no different then what they dye threads with anyway. this isnt rocket science.

It's applied not only to the threads, but also gets on the surrounding leather, requiring later cleanup and potentially does who knows what to the leather. Plus, it hasn't been tested for wearing off, staining clothes, or fading/discoloring rapidly. It's also being applied to the threads as they are stretched and woven into the seats. Most "dyed" threads are done so before they are used in sewing. Who knows if this could cause the threads to fail or fray prematurely.

Combine that with the fact that I don't like accented threads, and it's just not a bet I'm willing to make... personal preference, man... You do whatever you want to your car, and I'll do whatever I want to mine

I understand both points. It's not for everyone. I read posts of some people that did it over a year ago before I did it and they all said that it still hadn't faded. That's why I took the plunge. I may regret it later, but it looks cool for now.
