I wouldn't waste time on speculation. I would see what the new deal is then wait for the next generation's heavy hitter. This is the second muscle car era and the next several years may be the apex. These cars are getting crazy fast. Down here you have to be in the 10s just to be in a serious conversation. With 4th gens that was an outstanding achievement.

I just REALLY like my car. I'm not worried about the potential speed of the next thing. Speed is just a matter of wallet and will. Its just a matter of whats practical and still enjoyable and problem free... LSA is just a great platform to build. LT1 still has some r & d to do with big mods.. We will see what their long term reliability is. The Vettes have strange problems at times. It is a great motor though, Stingray pounded the LS3 powered Grand Sport.

But that is like asking a guy with a 1st gen Camaro with an L72 if he's worried about a guy with a 2nd gen with an L78. No... lighter (kind of), sleeker, more stylish, whatever. Maybe a ZL2 or whatever it will be called would be worth the wait.

As much as I dislike them, the new Mustang body style looks nice. Maybe the next gen Camaro (actual not renderings) will he NICE and you may make a move on just that.

Also as far as civics and mini Cooper's comment you made. Apples to apples, put a V8 in those cars like the SS will have and...... YEAH DA they would rule the world.
Weight is everything when your talking about 400 plus horsepower.
I mean this is pretty much common sense man, the current SS is not that far off the performance of a ZL1 now, what do you think a newer lighter more refined 6 Gen is going to do. Ahhh I give up.. wait you'll see.....

P.S. You emphasize '2015 ZL1' but you do know whether it's a 2015 or 2012 or 2013 or 2014 ZL1, it's the same power. Just thought I'd clear that up for you.

Personally the longer you wait the cheaper the 2015 model will become, I don't know what the military pays nowadays, but when I was in I was lucky to afford a second hand Honda civic, So I would hold off as long as possible, check out your options. Btw someone mentioned gas was $9 dollars a gallon over there is that true?. If it is true, I would go with the SS model unless you hit the lottery recently, as this car is very thirsty car.

If I wanted the fastest car, I wouldn't have bought a camaro.

I wanted a fun car that fit my style.

Great... So enjoy it.

Who cares if a Gen6 SS is faster or slower than a Gen5 ZL1 -- they're entirely different cars, if you want a Gen6 SS then get a Gen6 SS and tell us all about it.

EDIT: you edited your post... you just said the same thing I did..

If you think I didn't understand your "special" reference, the you too are special.

Please go troll some youtube forum and tell all the 12 year olds in the world how much you love the Gen6. Your BS is clogging up an otherwise interesting thread.
