And yes our starter is rather small, so yes I was right ..whoopee.... LOL, my starter was 260$ and 45 labor, and I thought that was overpriced compared to what I could find online. SO apparently that must be a big fix for the tranny.... and a very expensive battery cable cleaning......

Well perhaps my 'terminology' isn't correct, but my 1969 Chevrolet C10 runs when I disconnect the battery, and it only has an 'alternator'
