Tow Hook
For homologation I need only a front tow hook.
Therefore I've used some standard parts with thread M16. After drilling a whole I want to put the screw from the backside through the front bumper. But not so easy to find the whole from the backside. I used a tow wire for fishing the screw. The screw head is fixed so tightening from the front is no problem. |

Tow Hook
Interesting approach. You are using a lifting eye. A lifting eye only has structural
intergreity when lifting vertically. The grade of hardware you are using is not suuicient for the load that will be encountered. |

Camera front & rear
Quote:
Here's a short update on the cameras. The front one is nearly unnoticeable. For the rear I've modified the cover of the original camera module. Hopefully the the cameras will prevent the Z/28 from contacts when parking. |

Hi Pat,
it was absolute the correct decission and worth all the effort to bring the Z/28 to Germany Not driven much yet but enjoying every ride. Still running in the LS7 with rev limit 4000 1/min. Sometimes shifting through the gears until 5000 1/min. Driving a lot with changing loads. The car is so predictable and not a beast as my 1M with twinturbo. I love the linear characteristic of the NA engine and the reving lust. The Trofeo R is working perfect with the suspension. The riding is very responsive and you can feel the road. My riding profile is having 1 hour fun in the evening on small winding roads after a hard working day. Therefor the Z/28 is a excellent tool |

Forgotten the most important fact,
the Z/28 is homologated and legal for street use in Germany The homologation procedure took 3 hours. The tech. inspector was very accurate and total fair. Only minor modifications as described above were required. The exhaust system needs no modification to pass the testing It was worth to talk a lot with the tech. inspector before the homologation. So it was a pleasure for both of us and he enjoyed the test ride. |

What you need is a lathe and a milling machine to do the mechanical work on the aluminium parts. 3 Tubes are the base for the projekt. Sorry that I can't provide more infos on that Next project will be documented better. Last edited by 1erMQP; 05-10-2018 at 01:13 PM. Reason: picture added |
