After 1700 miles, with an A6 I am averaging 23 mpg of combo city/highway driving and 31 mpg with just freeway driving. Only mod is a Roto-Fab CAI.

Just got back from Myrtle Beach. after 920 miles of driving overall average was 26MPG, On the trip down and back (360 miles each way)average was 29.8 MPG and 59 MPH going down, and 28.1 and 59.5 coming back... Used AC all the way coming back but only halfway going down, probaby the difference in MPG. I tried to stay within 5 mph of the speed limit at all times.. and did get caught up in some traffic jams both going and coming back.. so I would guess my mileage would have been better if I had not run into the traffic problems...

I have 1400 miles on my V6 1LT with JBA shorty headers and MRT V 1.0 exhaust and im getting about 16.5 mpg it is 95% city drive. I only take it out on the weekend to play and I play hard! Ill be hooking up my InJen CAI as soon as it comes... see if it helps at all? Maybe I should drive a little slower from light to light..

Same here. Mine is 100% stock still and in the 6 weeks & 2k miles I've had her I've only seen the average read as high as 23 once! I have a short communte to work (3 miles) so I know its alot of 'city' driving... But today I purposely ran it over 100 miles of almost all highway - no A/C and speeds from 50-75, and it showed 21.3 avg mpg.

should I get it looked at?

I now have over 7000 mi on mine. Switched to running 93 octane & got synthetic oil at first oil change. Runs much better now & improved gas mileage some. I do about half highway & half city driving (very little interstate). I am averaging 24.4 mpg. Seems better than most on here. I do not drive conservatively. Usually pass someone at least once a day & love to take off from stops faster than needed just for fun. Totally stock right now but considering adding a CAI. Enjoying the heck out of my commute now!

Mine is only at 1800 miles and I am avg 20.9MPG
One thing we all need to keep in mind is the fuel.
Not so much the octane, but the mix.
If it is the 10% ethanol mix it will lower the MPG....some cars by as much as 10%.
My wife's MINI hates the ethanol mix.
So for max MPG......stick with pure gasoline.

Are you guys just guessing about the highway city percentage or does the car track it?
