Pretty sure thats allowed if you have hood pins... All after market hoods must have hood pins to run.

This needs to be clearly spelled out for the tracks to see. I have spoke to our local track and they say they will require a roll bar because your car is either modified or completely stock.

Thing is, NHRA member tracks need to meet NHRA rules as a minimum standard. Individual tracks can choose to exceed NHRA minimum specs and refuse you regardless of whats written on the letterhead.

So again, its back to the tech directors discretion at each track.

I have found when you line up you always have a 50% chance. I would love to make it to Cfest and meet all you guys and have a few grudge races too. I am like my kids... 10 minutes after a game win or lose they move on and are back to having fun.

Just curious, who did you call and wondering if it was the desk girl that answers the phone..?.... (phone number, person, title?).

Would love to get the number and person you spoke with.... Many people associated with the NHRA have no ideas on the rules...

Would love to hear to get confirmation.... but i guess if enough people say it is so , then the NHRA will start to believe it...

I would also love to know because I know 2 people that called the NHRA corporate offices and they said unaltered is anything on the car including the engine or powertrain.... hmmm.....

all that matters is what your track believes.... just bringing them a letter will not change their minds.... ....

Funny that you post this after there was already an answer sounds like a troll to me. I sent the email and hope to get the response tomorrow.

I'm so cheap I probably won't trailer it down. I'll drive it. 20+mpg is better than probably 8 with the trailer
