Nothing I've said to either of you is BS, all of it is easily verifiable using your own due diligence to do even just a cursory amount of research before you go speaking out of turn on something where you're so under educated. |

the 89 tta while impressive for its time and still is a good collector got one-upped a long time ago by the ls1 4th gen.
The auto 6gen is running 12.0-11.9s stock. no comparison |

Still a barn door nose considering it's 30 years later. TTA does far higher than 162 or the other quoted 153. It will do 170s. GN would do nearly 160 with true barn door aero and considerably less power. I was verified by a second car in the upper 160s in my own when it was stock, still had pedal left. I said I had to eat crow as I found the road tests for the new Camaro. No need to still be butt hurt over it. |

i’m surprised the 3rd gen didn’t run out of gas or overheat before achieving 130 mph

The cars get a bad rap for no real reason. Maybe some of the early to mid 80s deserved it but the late late 80's thru 92 actually did very well. I have prolly 200k on a few and I totaled one set of injectors, one fuel pump and one alternator as actual failures on mine when still stock. The only low mileage issue was on my 91 GTA I bought from Provo with 19k on it. Had been stored a long time and I think the injector cleaner killed them off. All have been buried more than once. All have been to the strip multiple times and a couple even road coursed a little way back when. For shits and giggles, a TTAs boost gauge will start quivering at a 100mph, 135mph is about 6 psi burying the speedo which is marked to 150 is about 8-9 psi. You have a lot of pedal left still. |
