What vehicles are all these stolen LS3 and L99 engines going into? Old street rods and muscle cars?
I wonder if these car thieves are being assisted by some crooked cops working in the bay area. I remember a story about a crooked cop that was in on the bay area thefts. With the way these cars are being stolen, there has to be at least several on the take if you know what I mean. It will be interesting to see if the LT1 in the 6th gen will be just as popular amongst car thieves as the old LS3 and L99 was. |

Sorry, OP. Had my '70 Pontiac stolen in 1981, and still haven't gotten over it.
Let's hope there's something to that karma thing and they receive what's coming to them in full force. Good luck with your next ride.

About someone posting that some cops were doing some of the dirty job and or helping the thieves , that was about a case in Santa Clara CA , one officer ( really ) a Sargent , was arrested for been involved on that part of the economy But my question /comment about cops and car thieves is more like , how are those cops using their work time and or computers system to locate the Camaros owners address , since a lot of those cars where taken from the residences even from inside the garages , that's what I would like to know , so is the judge in the above case I hope |

Damn that sucks. It's not even my car and those pictures possible me off.
We all know we this is how it would be found. But still. These stripped Camaros either have to be on a flat bed or have some cheap wheels on them to tow them to where they're dumped. And no one notices a thing. If I saw a stripped or damaged Camaro being towed at night, sure as he'll I'd be following them. |
