If he's going by the tracking site, and it goes back to "Production Complete" then we know it was shipped to have the hood wrapped.

When I ordered my '02 Trans Am Collector Edition back in the fall of 2001, it got caught up in a QC hold.
The hold was for a driver door hinge issue. Apparently they needed to check all the vehicles built at the Ste. Therese plant for a mis-installed driver side, lower hinge plate.

If I remember correctly, my car was tied up in the hold for something like 4-6 weeks.
I couldn't get any info from the dealer or from GM's Dealer Business Center.

I finally called the plant & got hooked up with the nicest guy. He was able to tell me what was going on and I believe he was instrumental at getting my car checked out faster and on it's way.

That sounds about right. My 2002 Camaro's driver's side door is about to fall off.
