This pricing reinforces that the vehicle's engineering is not up to par. There's no way they could afford this price with a modern suspension. While the horsepower and interior equipment is respectable, the complete lack of refinement reflects typical Dodge "engineering".

Lack of engineering??!?!
You know it's the fastest STOCK muscle car out there right now, right? Also, has the most STOCK HP AND TQ as well? Pushes over 11lbs. of boost for a STOCK car?
Have you seen the amount of settings for track, street and strip? Including transmission, traction and suspension settings? I think that's pretty damn good engineering actually. But,..we can agree to disagree.
I bet this beast handles like crazy on track as well.

All I have read about the car and suspension would indicate that the engineering on the Hellcat is up to par. On the 22nd though all the info on Challenger will be released and we'll find out for sure.

I don't understand how a community of car guys who adamantly argued with Mustang guys about how IRS is superior and how GM invested in superior technology under the car can be so easily distracted by a peak horsepower number. Powerful engines are relatively easily built by Detroit, especially when it comes to big V8s. Building advanced suspensions with extensive track tuning requires going to experts. Dodge demonstrated what we can do here as garage mechanics, going fast in a straight line. I respect the straight line performance of the Hellcat, but have yet to see anything that implies it can actually race a Z/28, ZL1, or even 1LE, on a road course.

The only thing that supposedly helps cornering in that video is the LSD. Chevrolet can talk about suspensions for days, but Dodge would rather discuss low-restriction intakes and exhausts. I still have yet to see anything actually discussing the components that give the car a handling advantage.

This is obviously the automatic, A8. They have one with the manual as well if you need to view it? People are saying that it came close to the Chevy ZL1 times. Not sure if it is true or not?

I know I'm coming off as very critical. In fact, I hope I'm very wrong and Dodge actually delivered a car with some handling capabilities. Competition is good for everyone.

Yes it is! I love muscle cars and am no "fanboy" for any specific brand as I currently own a '13 Roush Stage 3. Before that, a '99 Hugger Orange SS with white leather interior. And now possibly a 2016, not a 2015, Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
Bring on the muscle car wars.

I think that's too much power for 275 tires on 9.5 wheels. It's a good thing it has good brakes. Love the power, but still not fully balanced...IMO. I hope the consumer buying this car will learn this car before getting nuts and shows it off to his friends. Plus i'm sure if this car ever gets into a racing series (even though not intended), they will have to build up the suspension. This car appears great on straights, but bad in the corners.
