Your entire post was excellent but this is what resonates most with me. The Z/28 is a special combination of elements. Old school analog taken to the highest level. Pure in its execution and built in low numbers.

It will be valued by collectors someday but still foolish to view as an investment. Own it for love of what it is and let the future sort the rest out.

You beat me to the punch on that car, I just pulled the trigger on the AGM one at the Peoria AN dealer. What a great opportunity on these!

I picked up a 15 Z
Local dealer 5 miles from my house
Red (color i wanted) , low miles (7)
For 17,700 off sticker, plus i got them to also order/pay for a wicker bill.
For some reason this car was purchased from another chevy store 550 miles away, put on a enclosed transporter and ended 5 miles from my house...figure that also drove the price up.

Signed paperwork on my 14 Z/28 last night. Will pick up on Tuesday or Wednesday after getting back in town. The GM end of the year event brought me in, I left after a 60 mile test drive and completing the paperwork. I am really impressed with the Z.

This would have been a good one to store away, but for the fact there's a 14 #427 out there too so not as exclusive. Still, it's the last NA big cube you'll ever see in one of these, or anything else for that matter.

The car is awesome, and after 100 miles or so, it drives similar to the way I had set up my last 2 Porsches and last Corvette with quality coilover suspensions. Gonna have no problem driving it daily.

Damn, it looks good in red! I ended up with black which looks really sinister and frankly, I didn't have much choice (easiest car to obtain). Wish I had your warmer weather. Took it out today (high 40's and raining=like driving on ice) but I had to get it out before the 9 degree weather hits and I can't take it out at all!

You know, one thing folks don't talk about enough is the shifter. It is one fine unit. I'm sure you know what I mean coming from the Porsche's. The shifter is rifle bolt crisp, firm, and short. Reminds me very much of the RS shifter.

Congrats on your new car! Just one little note: tire dresser is not the best idea for an R-compound tire : )
