Just wanted to put in my 2 cents. I'm also Canadian and also live in the GTA. GM is giving 4k off the 2017 Camaros right now. I sold a 2002 Z28 stripper 6M last year that I had mods to crazy levels. It was a beast, The LS is a great engine. I missed it so much that I got in to a used 2011 V6 auto. Man the 5th gen is a heavy car, I have not driven the 5th gen SS but I drove the v6 for 7000k and took it back to the GM dealer I got it used form. Next I test drove the 2017 I4, V6, and ss. All auto so I can not comment on the 6m. The I4 has some nice torque that you can have fun with. The SS is off the rails, it is Way faster then my stripper 2002. Almost unusable power. It is like a super car now. It was two much car for me. But the crazy surprise is the V6. It is as fast as my 2002 Z28 100 percent. The car is a beast. I hated my 2011 but I have a 2017 V6 RS 6m factory ordered as we speak. The sixed gen Camaro out handles anything I have ever driven in my life. Bottom line I love the 5th gen, Hell I work at the Oshawa plant where they where made. But the 6th gen is here and it is beastly. And the cherry on top is the GM NPP exhaust available on the V6 and V8, google is your friend it is killer. The V6 runs 0-60 in 5.1 seconds stock. GM has just reliesed a nice intake for it that adds 20hp with a tune you can get at your local dealer. Stock HP is 335 the intake bumps you to over 350, while weighing way less then a 5th gen. Food for thought.

There's nothing like sitting in the 'vert at the end of the day and being able to look up and see the whole sky and think "Wow"...

This is what I get from my convertible, regardless of the engine size...

There's also nothing like sitting in your convertible with 90k miles on it and the top starts leaking during heavy rain storms.

I've had two convertibles (one 1996 Camaro SS and one 2001 BMW M3) and they both eventually started leaking. They ALL start leaking eventually.

Had more than my share of moon/sunroof leaking also..gimme a vert anyday.

One has to remember that gas in Canada right now where the OP lives is about $3.50 usd for a gallon of premium gas.

About 60 to 75 cents less for reg. As gas prices rise the love affair with "gas guzzlers" tend to wane...looking back a few years ago when we were paying about $5.00 to $5.50cad for 3.8 liters of gas which is the equivalent to an U.S. gallon. Smart cars and electric were scootering out of the showrooms.

It seems strange to me that anyone looking for a Camaro of any displacement would be considering it for the gas mileage. It's a sports car not a hybrid. That being said I can't believe how good the gas mileage is on the SS and I drive it hard.

Well, I didn't want to start the debate of a V8 being muscle and a V6 being something else so I went with something more politically correct lol

Just goes to show you can't please everybody.

Why isn't there a fishing pole smiley?

According to Webster we can both be right

"Muscle car is an American term used to refer to a variety of high-performance automobiles. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines muscle cars as "any of a group of American-made 2-door sports cars with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving."
