Well you know the 5th generation camaro is suppose to be influenced by the first generation styling but modernized.

I think it's a little more likely they looked at a 1967 or 1969 camaro for influence than prelude.

If it makes you feel better it looks like the 2010-2013 tail lights were influenced by a 1968 camaro.

They don't look right either, almost upside down looking.

Retro styling? If that was the attempt, they failed miserably. Unless they were going for a retro Honda prelude. They f'd up big now we have to wait for the next Gen.

Completely upside down. It comes from senility of the old farts at GM. No one saw the rear end of the 2014 Camaro and ohhed and awwed! That's the problem. That's what we need. If you want to be complacent with a much heavier car that is slower than the competition, then great! However, I want GM to make world beaters!!!!!!

I must respectfully disagree with the OP...I was there and got to see both the refreshed SS/RS and the Z/28 in person...pictures don't do these cars justice...I thought they looked great, each in their own way...

Please wait to see them in person, and see if you change your minds...just my 2 cents

Looks like they squared up the tapered rear window from the earlier models.

I'm sure that there was a similar negative response to the 2010+ Mustang, but guess what? They are selling really well. The 2014 Camaro will also sell well.
