Thanks! I try to put as much as I can here...

My oil info is from the OBDII port and would be from the ECM - which is calculated. The great thing about the AeroForce gauges is I can add analog sensors - I have 2 already and can add 2 more.

Temp in the DIC mirror what I see in the AeroForce gauges..

You sure do a great job.

Thanks for the info! The gauges are really nice. I'm looking into getting oil temp from a separate sensor. I have the Mishimoto kit too and, as you know, no room to add a sensor on the sandwich plate. BTW one other thing I used from your build thread was the DEI fire sleeve. Since I didn't have any add'l coolers, everything fits well with the sleeves. So, again, thank you.

Good luck with everything. Your car is a well thought out monster.

Thanks! It's a true money pit ;o)

The sleeves are great for sure, but with the coolers, I ran out of room ;o)
After CFest, I'll concentrate on the forged engine!

Prepping for fest, if you're looking for a gates RPM belt, here is a catalog:

https://www.gates.com/~/media/files/...list-lores.pdf

I ordered a couple for mine -- these are more expensive than the green belts, but, are suited for racing/tracking...

Use the gates number and add RPM to the end...

e.g., K061000 would be K061000RPM (6 rib, 100"+ outside diameter + racing version (RPM))

Well, after talking with Ryan from GPI and DSX Tuning, I'm going corn using the DSX kit:

https://dsxtuning.com/collections/pa...nt=32433576715

Yes, I'm getting the ID1050x's, so my ID850s will be up for sale -- soon ;o)...

Ryan said in my case, it will wake my car up, so, I figured I'd get the fueling right, then when the forged engine is ready, I won't need any updates.

I'll document the steps I take to install DSX's kit, and hope it helps those on the fence -- with the LSA Conversion and this DSX kit, I should see some impressive gains -- and cooler running!

If I get the kit soon enough, I may install it before CFest and see if I can get the tune knocked out, otherwise, it will be after CFest...

Now, gotta work more to pay for all this stuff ;o)

Ok! Dave @ DSX is getting the kit together for me -- he's going to tweak the ZL1 kit so it works with the LSA Conversion! Very excited about that -- I'll probably drive down to Austin to have Dave tweak the FPCM for my setup. I'll have to send Ryan an update to setup my tune for ID1050x injectors and, hopefully, have him update the tune on my way to CFest!

Kit should be here on Wednesday! Once I hear back from Ryan @ GPI, I'll know if I can start the install before CFest. Would be awesome to track this baby with corn -- just to see the temp differences, etc...

Ok, took the car out today -- it was HOT -- testing everything before I leave. So far, all is well except 2 things:

1) I'll want to put the cooling air dams for the coolers -- which means removing the bumper

2) Change all the fluids again -- except transmission -- only 1k miles on that.

I found a very small oil leak around the new Mishimoto sandwhich. It appears to be the filter, but I'll want to jack it up and tighten everything just to make sure.

The Eaton TrueTrac got a workout today -- did fine -- except I noticed a 'rolling bag of rocks' sound on decel after the diff got hot (when I got back, you could NOT put your hand on the diff, so I know it was hot). So, Jacked it up, made sure no bolts backed off, put a socket on everything -- all tight. Rolled the tires (trans in neutral, e-brake off) no noise at all. Did some research and found this can happen when the TrueTrac gets hot -- and you live in a hot area (which Texas is that). Eaton recommends going with and 85W-140 when its hot -- so, that is what I'm going to do. when it gets cold or you live in an cool area, 75W90 -- like the Z/28 uses -- is the recommended fluid -- so, diff will get changed 2 times a year -- November and May -- to keep up with the weather.

So, Engine Oil will be changed, Diff will be changed, going with a 90/10 Distilled/Dexcool/Water Wetter for the engine coolant.

I did have a scare though. I found anti-freeze near my front wheel (I had the rear jacked up). Look EVERYTHING over -- no leak. I did have 2 jugs of mixed dexcool by my bench, and, sure enough, the heat must have cracked one of the jugs. Moved it, no more leak -- whew...

So, I'm getting a backup ADM FPCM from Andy on Wednesday so I can get it updated by Dave @ DSX.

I also noticed my BMR rear springs have taken a dump on me. These are sagging pretty good. Looks like those will need to be replace. I've contacted JusticePete on what he recommends -- I thought these BMRs would be the last ones I'd need -- yep, they have life warranty, but, if they do this again, what good is that?

All in all, trying to use up my fuel so I can do 'corn'. Ryan @ GPI is as excited as I am... L99 VVT SS1, LSA Conversion on corn -- not many have done that!

Happy 4th!

-Don

Yep! Usually don't like making big changes like that, but the timing was just there. I'll be talking with Dave from DSX tomorrow in person so looking forward to that.

I'll do all the changes that I can.. E85 setup, oil and diff for sure!

DSX E85 kit, Fuel pump, and id1050x injectors came in! Will likely start Friday morning upgrading things. Reviewing the instructions now...

Wow, E85... didn't think I'd do that, but it just made sense with this kit. Very nice kit...
