I think I'm going to contact MGW and see if they are planning to fab up a STS for the new Camaro.

EDIT: Just called MGW, and they WILL be making an MGW shifter for the new Camaro. Should be 4 months after production that they will have a product available. Since the 6 speed uses the TR6060, the same as the new Viper, it could be even sooner once they change a few minor parts.

Good news for me at least!

The Hurst shifter is an LPO option when placing your car order, but it will be dealer installed for no extra charge. If you buy it through the parts department you'll have to install it yourself or pay the dealer to install it.

Pardon me for being a complete noob in this category, but what does the MGW shifter have over the hurst? What makes it so special? I have never heard of this shifter and would like to know more about it. I don't wanna regret having the hurst if this one is better.

Somebody Please post a picture of the Hurst Short Throw Shifter. I have seen it somewhere with a Polished Black Knob that looks awesome! I have seen it shown with the regular white knob also. But somewhere there is a the black one pictured. If I order the STS will it be black the that?

Take a look at the threads for the SEMA cars. There are some nice photos there.
