Axle back is for sound only, so which one is best is impossible to answer. Pure axle back is either mufflers swap or delete and your talking about little to no HP differrence. So pick the one in your budget you like the sound of and thats whats best for you.

Borla sounds great. Full exhaust do not net that much HP anyhow unless you have some type of engine work to help it breath better. IMO

Several of us are out there waiting for some good Axle back vids for the Corsa, Borla S and Loudmouth II. All are about the same price. Seems that Borla may be deeper, Corsa more raspy and not heard much about the Loudmouth II.

I tried to start a summary page, but not too much input...

Spend the extra $400 and get the Corsa cat-back system. You will go nuts reading the posts. Like they say, it's personal choice, of which there are almost too many. It's like you need to install all of them to pick one. What sold me is the possibility of the louder droning at freeway speeds, Corsa said they have conquered that. The dealer where I got mine called a client that just had them put the system in for $150, and he was very happy. $1200 delivered at LMP, goggle it. I have heard a number of people that were very happy with it. Nice growl, but not over powering, great at freeway speeds too. CAI (LMRacecraft) would help in HP/TQ department to the tune of 15-20+ with exhaust. Ordered mine today!

Can't justify $1200 bucks for noise. I'll spend $600 and install myself as it looks pretty easy.

I got my car last Friday, didn't get around to installing the LMII till this morning, nice tone, exactly what I was after. Louder than stock but not obnoxious. When I am driving it sounds corsa simular. I have a manual and the transmission makes the difference when it comes to good sound going thru the gears.

The LMII and the Borla S type are very similar. They both sound great. I actually got a few of the Borla in stock because they were becoming so popular!

If you are looking for prices or ordering info on any of these, please feel free to get in touch, I would be happy to help.

Can you summarize the differences between the axle back Borla, Corsa and Loudmouth II? Sound, drone, poping, etc.. So many of us are trying to pick between the 3!!!

The Borla and the LMII are very hard to notice any sound difference. I would have to say the Borla may be a slightly deeper sound.

I have not installed the Corsa yet, but have heard, and it is a higher pitch exhaust sound. I have not had problems with popping sounds on any axle-back systems. That happens much more often with a cat-back and a set of headers....but, they are nothing that a tune will not fix.

My opinion would be the borla for the deeper sound, or the SLP to save a little cash. I am just not a fan of the Corsa sound although they do make a great quality product.
