I have the black 21" wheels and pirellis and even if I haven't drove up to 150mph I still drive it from 120-130mph+ at the highway so I don't know why some guys said that they're capped at 118.

YES I agree (1LT, non RS), I have hit 125+ and would have gone more but began to let off the gas. I was in 6th but cant remember what RPMs were...

1LT/RS - 155
2LT - 155
2LT/RS - 155

Not entirely correct.

The 1LT I bought my daughter is governed at 155. She has the Synergy Package.

I don't get it either how can a LS, LT and 2LT have different capped speed if this is true?

Some said it's the wheels maybe I have the 21" and still people told me that "I JUST CANT BE OVER 118mph" at least some people agree with me on this that ls and lt's are not capped at 118

Chevrolet limited the cars based on there tire packages. The 18" tires were limited so to avoid any tire lawsuits, they limited the top speed on those with that wheel/ tire combo. As far as the Synergy--- it is a limited production 1LT with 19" wheel/ tire combo--Soooooo a 155 top side. As to your particular 21" combo and top out. I'm only guessing that you got one that slipped on by. Good for you.

I saw a rally yellow LS with black rally stripes and the expensive 21" wheels and tires on a dealer lot in southern Illinois. Since the upgraded tires and wheels were ordered new with the LS I figure it may have the higher 155 speed limiter. I don't know who bought the car so I can't find out for sure. I'd assume the person who bought the LS would get the original 18" tires and wheels since the 21" wheels are a dealer installed upgrade.

I have a 1LT, I added the 19" and connectivity package. I've been up to 130 in mine and could have kept pressing, I chose to slow down because it looked like other cars were doing 50mph.

I'm not going to argue about this, and you might as well call the other LS drivers that went above that capped speed LIAR too.
