I took mine in for wind noise again and dips in the top right above both doors. The dealer said the people that are going to work on my top will be in mid January. Kind of worried because I don't have any other issues with my top.

Look for rub marks on the top where it touches the trim around the opening just left of the third brake light when the top is down. If you have marks there it is caused by the bad design and some get holes there. A new top will fix that.

I had mine in last summer for a wind noise issue (recieved a customer satisfaction program letter), is this something different? I too am seeing rub marks that are more pronounced.

I am currently showing that the customer satisfaction program for your convertible top was already performed on your vehicle. I would suggest taking it back to the dealership and showing them the rub marks you are talking about. Please let us know what they have to say and if they are doing something for you.

Would driving without the tonneau cover, allow the top to buffet in the wind and create the rub marks. When I drive ours the material is moving alot from the wind. With the cover on it holds the material still.

This, I am unsure of. Have you had it to a dealership to address this question? They may be able to let you know of this. Also, if you would like to send me your VIN, I can check any applicable warranties, recalls, or programs available.

This one being about the convertible tops is valid through April of 2014. I hope this is the final fix for this issue and none of you have problems ever again. I hope this helps to answer your questions and if you need to know if your vehicle is involved send me your VIN and I will respond as soon as I can.

Jeff, seems as though you stay pretty busy on here checking vin's for people and that is really cool of you. Your info was very helpful to me since I was just informed by the dealer today that they are ordering a new top for my car.I asked the service writer if he could put a black top on instead of the tan one. He said he did not think it would matter but, later called me to say it must be replaced with the top is was built with? I kinda believe him but in the same breath I wonder why since it is just a color and nothing else. Was wondering if you could answer that question for me or if I could request it a different way? Thanks so much for helping us all out. Dave

Brandon (Or Jeff), I just bought a 2013 (last month) RS 2LT Convertible - just curious if I should be concerned about all the issues listed here, or do the 13's have all the fixes built in. Can you check my VIN (See my signature) to ensure I shouldn't have it looked at before any issues would start?

Thanks

Paul

I can certainly understand your question, Dave. The goal of warranty work is to repair it back to its original build. This is why the color of the top does matter.

Still waiting for the dealer to call me to schedule the work. I was told they didn't have parts and the ones that are going to work on my car would be back mid-January.. I'm trying to be patient..

After reading all 19 pages of this, I am now questioning if I should buy a 2011 SS/RS convertible. Seems like it will be more headache than the car is worth.
