Hey everyone ive been away on vacation for the past week and was told when i got back that the 2011 has a recall for the ECM.. has anyone gotten something similar or the same thing in the past week?

Likely just a software update, not an actual recall.

Someone had posted a few weeks back on the tracking Orders section that their 2011 was held at the dealer do to a recall. I think it was later posted they had a recall on the ECM program regarding the braking system. It was only for the V6 models and did not include the SS.

We had one, it is just a software update and did not take long at all...

Engine Control Module. Basically, the computer that controls the engine.

Just yesterday, when I was backing out of the driveway I pushed the brakes so I could stop the car and switch it to drive, and the brakes would not work!!! I let off the brakes, then pushed the pedal again and it worked. I'm definitely taking the car to the dealership in the morning!

Same thing happened to me, calling my dealer in the morning.

Brought my car in to the dealer this afternoon to get it fixed. Took them about half an hour.
