Not putting it that way exactly...I'm sure it has been attempted before and it isn't really the "loudness" that is going to bother you. When the AFM kicks in and you L99 switches from V8 to V4 it creates what they call "drone" which I've described in the past as a midget helicopter trolling behind your car. To better describe it is like when a cat purrs...kind of...just louder? If you did long tubes with the loud mouth exhaust it would sound bitchin for sure but when AFM kicked in it would feel like when someone opens only one window in a car at 70 MPH and your in the back seat...your head wants to pop!

save your self some cash, have a muffler shop do a muffler delete instead of spending the cash on a name brand exhaust thats a glorified muffler delete..

X2 I actually did the muffler delete on mine and it was the best $90 I've invested into this car so far.

i had stright pipes with longtubes..it wasnt too loud for me it was just too sloppy and too much...cackle?..sounded like crap..louder the better for me but i want deep volume not choppy ass sounds..so i threw an x pipe and some glass packs and it cleaned up the sound A LOT! no more backfire crap sounds..drone isnt too bad, sounds just right.. |
