AMC Gremlin
Really harks back to the days when performance was placed above looks. Although the restyled 1977 cars looked kinda cute. Still, I miss the days of simple, affordable rear drive V8 cars you could cheaply build up, and no computers!

I don't know if I can entirely agree. Back then, performance, at least in a straight line, was readily available with a different engine being strapped to a car; however, today's GM engineers performance with countless hours of track tuning and mechanical mastery. It used to be that all cars were awesome, and all cars could be fast at the track. You won't see today's Malibu's making sleepers, but a 1970 Malibu 4-door could potentiall take you down from the factory. It was simpler back then. All you had to do was pick your favorite body and throw your favorite engine in it.

My first car was a 1974 Gremlin, same orange color. Brings back lots of memories. Don't remember having such an enthusiastic car washing though.
