grounded same spot split into one wire with same connector thinking maybe faulty led strip ?

I've never had a faulty LED strip, tie both your power wires together and tap them into one wire, don't tap both wires on 1 wire with 2 taps,

Make sure both black wires aren't tapped into any other wires and grounded to metal, I can almost assure it's not faulty.

But you didn't give me enough detail to be truthful.

What so hard about this guys...Run both reds together and both blacks. Have one wire to power source and one to ground.

i did the same thing as timppg. my driver side i tapped into the dome light wire (passenger tapped into driver side) added a on/off/on sitch and connected a constent power to the sitch so it normally comes on with dome light IE when i open my door or i have the option to turn them on when ever i want.

well work now I didn't have the bolt I grounded too tight enough
