Nah I didnt delete it a moderator must have. Whatever though. We can start "who whould win" threads but not "who won" threads. Heaven forbid if we discuss racing in muscle cars
And Summmit, i agree seat of the pants is subjective. It seems like in certain cars you can feel the acceleration more regardless of how fast it actually is. I had a friend that had a 2002 mustang gt. It was slow as hell compared to my car but it seemed to have more of that seat of the pants feeling. |

Actually, he would get the stick () if he posted it on any of the Ford sites that cater to enthusiasts......

mustangman99----You honestly need to get out of this thread. You are causing too much trouble. They didnt make Camaro5 for you just to give the Mustang TOO much credit. I would stop being a troll or get out if I were you.

Ya I am surprised that no one has done this to a camaro. I know the camaro running 8's probably has some weight reduxtions, but I have not seen anyone go that route it be interesting to see the result |

Seems like all the complaining is coming from the Camaro section of the forums. If you don't like me then ban me, I really don't care. All I'm saying is that Camaro owners have always been pretentious about their cars and how good or fast they are. Everywhere I go and see an 3rd or 4th or 5th gen, they all give you a look like I'm better than you. It's pretty pathetic if you ask me. You couldn't pay me to buy a new Camaro. I'd rather wipe my ass with the $35K. <--- That'll probably get me banned. |

now its no secret that the Camaro is...umm...hefty, so i wouldve thought that weight reduction would be one of THE first things one would do with their camaro to make it faster |

Honestly both cars handled pretty well. I personally think the SS was a little more refined in that aspect. But both were good handlers.
One area the GT definitely has the SS beat is exhaust sound. The ls3 sounded a lot better than the L99, but the mustang sounded better still. But mustangs have always sounded awesome. But anyways im looking to buy either a LT or an SS, depending on what i can afford when i get my taxes back this winter, and it will have to be my daily driver. I can definitely say the the camaro would be a comfy dd, and so would the mustang, but the camaro seems to have a slight advantage in the ride quality. |
