Why is the price so different to a grillcraft or t-rex one. Is it worth to spend 300 more dollars for the grille. Any experiences?

I can't answer that. It's a fraction of the price. It's almost worth the cost to try it out just to see.

I have that set (or something very similar) on my SS

I REALLY dig the look.

Only 'con' I think that I have found is that the black coating/paint/whatever it is chips over time. It's not bad, and I'm too lazy to pull off and repaint.

Definitely looks good, though, and (at least in my area) unique - don't see them too often...Trying to get a few pics uploaded - will update this post when I can get them online..

PICS - they're not the greatest, but should give you an idea of what it'll look like.....

Hey, what's the deal with the bow tie? Is it required?

Mine has a cutout for the bowtie. Looks like the one off amazon does not. Prev owner of my car put it on, and no idea where he got it. Only one I've been able to find like it (or similar, at least) is THIS one from ebay - it has a cutout for the bowtie...mine looks exactly the same, only matte black.

I think if you still wanted to keep bowtie with the Amazon one, all it'd take is a dremel and a few minutes of your time to cut out some of the cross-bars, but no clue what that would do to the structural integrity of the part...

That grill is like what I have. The only thing that bugs me is that you can see the stock grill behind it.

Yeah the bolt over grills are cheaper cause you're just hiding your stock grill behind it but if you don't mind and you're on a budget it's a good choice. To each his own!
