Post 2012 camaro wrapping question

hi everybody,
i have a question to all the wrappers out there.
  • When you do a full body wrapping of a camaro, how do you wrap the front bumper piece?
  • How do you handle the inlays, are they separate or is the front one vinyl piece?

Can someone of you help me before i start doing it. I already wrapped the rest of the car but the front bumper is making me headache.

thx a lot

The front bumper is a PITA. Its even hard to explain what to do lol

YOu are going to have to put an inlay on the horizontal part of the bumper. You'll never stretch the vinyl into those curves by the headlights. Put the inlay down first so your seam is not going into the wind as you drive.

Other than that get a lot of hands and a lot of patience.

And post pics finished or not!

thx for the reply, one more question
how do you do the seamless butt connection of the two pieces?
I mean how to you connect the vinyl from the inlays with the rest of it.

You will have to do a small overlap for the seam. It will not be that noticeable. If you stare at it from 2 feet away you might see it. I dont ever see mine and I know its there.

For a butt connection you can use knifeless tape.

In my opinion a seamless butt connection will not be possible on the bumper inlay.

Rough estimate is 5×60 for a complete car wrap. I bought 5×75 for $350 from vivvid. Good stuff but to be honest you'll be ready to burn the car to the ground before you get a rhythm going. Then again you can buy the material 4 times and still come out half the cost of paying someone these days. With that said, I only have the weekends to fiddle with it so it took me a month. I'll post pictures eventually.
