ZL1 3rd brake light question

I'm converting the rear spoiler on my vert to the coupe version. In my research, I'm running into a snag with the 3rd brake light. Can anyone tell me if the OEM light screws into the coupe spoiler or is it glued in? Apparently GM does not source the light without the spoiler, so I may have to buy them both to get the light--which would stink. If that's the case, is anyone selling one?

I have a coupe spoiler on mine, it must be an after market unit though. No brake light allowance. I don't know the brand, it was on the car when I bought it.

I am pretty sure that they a screwed in, because if they were glued in it would be almost impossible to change out a burnt out bulb.

They are screwed in, but unscrewing is a pain the anchor nuts may break off. Mine did and I put it on the new spoiler with 3M autobody tape. As far a burnt out bulb, they are leds and you can not change one bulb. If it goes out GM does not sell the light alone you need to purchase a new spoiler as light comes attached.

There is a place that sells spoiler lights. I can't remember where I got mine but there is this place. https://www.spoilerlights.com/sl-cat...7-2015-camaro/.
When I received my carbon fiber spoiler it had no light. I contacted the seller and they referred me to a place but don't think this is the same place. Could give this a try.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I am installing a carbon fiber spoiler and I want that 3rd brake light in the spoiler. I'll check out that site and maybe give them a call.

I may be leaning back towards a carbon fiber convertible spoiler. Much less hassle.
