2014 Taillights
I wonder if they changed the taillights on the Camaro because the 14 Stingray is now using them? I like the 10-13 taillights much better then the
14's.

The whole back end of the 2014 Camaro kinda sucks. I don't think the Stingray design has much to do with it. I think Chevy has been way behind the whole world with headlight and tail light designs. At least the '14 Camaro taillights are LED. The halos surrounding the headlights were old when the 5th gen came out and they're still there. They look ridiculous in the new front end, they're almost completely hidden. That should have been changed to LED’s fitting the new contour of the smaller grill area.

You are correct. The rear end looks kind of boring and generic. Big let down on the rear. Its very plain looking. The tail lights are the worst part. They need to be 2 seperated tail lights on each side. That boring looking tail lights just aint working at all...
One thing is for sure. The vendor that comes out with a great looking set of new 2014 Camaro tail lights is going to make a ton of $$$. |

The rear tail lights on the 2014 remind me of a late 90's Acura design (Rectangular, with built in reverse lights). This is a serious set back for the Camaro design IMO. The narrower front grille and the plastic fog light molding does not wow me either. I am hoping I have a better opinion of the refresh once I see it in person.

I see that you drive a Honda Element. Do you own a Camaro? Are you planning to purchase a new one?

Nothing against Scott... Im certain he's a great man but I don't think we should be sycophantically flattering Scott for his comments.
Of course, everyone makes mistakes and Scott was aware of the unsalesmanlike tone of his reply. Someone was belittling his and his teams' hard work, so I get his reply; however, if it was a Chevrolet dealer who made the same remarks to a customer, we wouldn't be kissing up. While we live in a country that defends everyone's right to speak their mind, some people will always have the responsibility, not to.

I think it will grow in most people in time I'm glad they didn't change the current design too much. I'm sure when the 2016 comes out it will take time to adjust to it as well but it will be a hit as well as the current design is.
I wish they would bring the Trans Am back I would buy it in a heart beat the interior and exterior appointments in the Trans Am was always much nicer than the Camaro IMO. I still love my car and can't wait until the roads are cleaned up so that I can get it out on the roads. |
