You should use any DEXOS rated oil, 5w-30. DEXOS is a synthetic blend or above standard. For the 2013s, you violate the warranty if you don't use a DEXOS rated oil.

Having said that I have followed www.bobistheoilguy.com for years and the wear reports for conventional oil look great up to about 5K miles or more depending on the vehicle/engine. Synthetics definitely handle heat better, so change it if your driving style does not include some cool down periods.

i won't be moding this car so ill run the mobil1..if its good enough for GM..

however i run amsoil I'm my duramax..
