Stripes...yes or no?

Looking at getting the 2014 BluRay with the silver rally stripes. Wondering if those that have stripes/decals...got them already installed or had dealer install after buying the car. I worry the dealer would screw up the install/car trying to get it right..thoughts?

The dealer put mine on and they look absolutely perfect. I may have gotten lucky though...

i had the dealer install them after i bought the car and had to take it in and drop it off for the day came back and they did a great job. if they screw it up they HAVE to buy another and do it till they get it right. if you haven't bought the car yet tell them you wont buy it unless they add the stripes and put them on. make sure its in the contract

I had the Factory stripes dealer installed.
I contemplated silver, but went with the grey instead for a more "stealth" aesthetic

I think you can see them pretty we'll in this pic

I had the dealer install mine and they are absolutely perfect. If they get it wrong they are going to have to replace them or give you a refund, so not much to lose in that sense.

I am liking the rally stripe, but have only seen it in silver. I live in Fl. and will have to drive to Texas to get the one I want (w/nav). I don't want to wait to long after getting the car to install the stripes...just have to decide between silver or gray to go with the BluRay.

Also, there are several options for the stripes going over the entire car, or just the hood and rear and even some on the sides. Anyone else with BlueRay and the various stripes have thoughts on these packages and pics would help a lot.

Thx

There is an entire thread dedicated to different kinds of stripes. May not find the exact stripes in the exact color you are interested in, but should give you a good idea of many of the different options out there http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65869

Just a suggestion - if you plan on keeping the car a long time & want the stripes to last then get them painted on. ~$1k.

I had to order my SS anyhow. So factory rally stripes, white over the BRM. No complaints.

I had the matte black ones on the 1LT, didn't know if I liked them or wanted them but they were on the car when I went to buy freshly installed by the dealer, but after a few days they grew on me. Now I have a 2SS with orange ones and I am not an orange fan but these are gloss ones and they look like they are painted on until you get up real close, love them. once they wear out I think I might get them painted on for real. but until then I am gladly rocking them

Now that people talk about them wearing out and having to paint them on, makes me not want them at all.
Just have to see over time I guess

thx
