Help in choosing emblems and ease in removing old

Ok, It is time for me to re-do my front side emblems on my Camaro. I painted them black with plasidip just to make sure that I would like them black. Well I do, and the plasidip has started to come off in spots from well washing the car, etc. I need some opinions on what style would look good on the car as well as if anyone can tell me how to take the old ones off if I decide to replace them and not just paint them with "real" paint.
Thank you in advance and wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year

Since your asking I think the stock letters look so much better than emblems from
prior generation Camaros. They just look odd and out of place to someone who grew
up with earlier Camaros. Your 2nd photo looks good IMO.

Thank you, myold88 I was leaning towards that one as well. I could not find a picture of yellow Camaro like mine.

The day I got my SS I drove to my body shop and had my pre ordered trunk SS
emblems put on my fenders. I always felt that GM should have put them there.

I like the second one as well. As far as taking the old ones off, I used fishing line. Just wrap the line around your index fingers and saw back and forth behind the emblem. That's how I took off the rear bow tie.

See if you can find images with no side emblem. You may like that. I know for me it looks way better. I have no side emblems. To remove them though, heat gun works best but a hair dryer works as well. Heat up the emblem and it will soften the adhesive holding it on. Then take a piece of fishing string and saw through the adhesive behind the emblem. YOu can just rip it off but it leaves more adhesive doing it that way. Then, heat up the remaining adhesive and ball it up with your finger or something soft that wont scratch. Then, use goo gone to remove the remaining adhesive. None of this will scratch or ruin your paint. I have done this to several vehicles with no paint issues.

I like the Vintage look but to each his own. I'm the contrarian type and I like to do what I like. Do you! You make the payment (or paid for it). You drive it. You get the smile on your face each time you see it. Just my .02

All the best,

Well I printed out a copy of both styles and taped them on the car. I know that is kind of primitive but how else would I see which one looked the best. I am going to choose the new version with myold88 's idea with the "SS" under it. Thank you to all that gave me their ideas and suggestions.

Best wishes to all for a Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year

Nice. These 5th gens look so good when you keep it simple.
