6th gen prices are insane when you're looking at MSRP, but there are deals that can be had. Right now GM is offering 10% off till end of Aug, I believe....but only select vehicles. This '16 1SS can be purchased for under $35K with NPP exhaust, moon roof, and the 8 speed auto tranny. There are good deals out there, but you have to spend some time to find them, and sometimes travel out of State to get them. What a better way to break-in your new car than a nice, long trip.

Jacekpsur1, you are right. They are finally discounting some of the '16's. I just checked it out. The Bergeys one might be sold because it didn't come up on my search of 100mi. I saw some of the ones that haven't been moving at Laffertys on discount. Ha ha I did see a turbo four with no discount for 45k. No sunroof! It was a vert. My thread was on the '17's price but I'm glad they're giving 10% on some '16's though.

I'm sticking with my 2013 ZL1, still under 9k miles...It would be foolish of me to trade out and pick up a difference of nearly 30k...I have 3k in mods to do and a stock 17 will be looking at my tail lights...As a matter of fact their going to be looking at my tail lights with the basic mods I have now...

Loaded 2016 2SS are 35k right now
2017 ZL1s will be under 50k in a year

It's important to fully understand the pricing sales model of GM these days, which capitalizes on basic supply vs. demand curves. If you want bleeding edge tech and the ability to custom order, bend over and spread your cheeks. If you can wait a year, you will receive a normalized price that is 25% off MSRP.
