Questions to ask

Hey guys, I am wondering if their any other questions I should ask my salesmen.

So far he cannot give me a straight answer on when my car will come in. He is saying the end of summer. Code 1100 5-20-2009 and he said i was the 55th Camaro they are getting in (counting non pre-orders, inventory cars). Does this sound right? Is he giving me a realistic deadline or just saying that to get my money and not go to another Chevy dealership.

And another thing, how long does it normally take to hit 3000 for orders in the past month. I would think that it would happen already.

Any ways, WERE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER! we need to Keep eachother sane lol

Depends on what he means by "end of summer", but depending on his allocation, that sounds like a fair estimate. As you've probably seen from other posts, there's no hard and fast rule to how these things go. What -will- work in your favor is the backlog of cars starting to be cleared out, the factory ramp-up in production numbers, and the addition of those Saturday shifts

You might do some digging/asking about how many he's already had delivered, how long it took for them to be picked up, and how their Corvette sales have been.

You ask to get it in writing what your gonna pay. MSRP or lower I hope.
You ask how many orders in front of you are waiting for an allocation.
You ask how many total allocations the dealer has out there, and how many he thinks he'll be getting. Knowing how many he has currently may give you an idea.
Until your order goes to code 2000 your dealer does not have an allocation for you.
You could have better luck with another dealer if you ask these questions to them. For a fee (something like 200bucks) this dealer could accept shipment from another dealer if you bought out of state or something. You just have to ask.

Good luck.

Holy unrelated thread archive bump batman! Here is the cam forum; http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11

Isn't Garland the backyard of ADM and The Lone Star Camaro club? I would reach to LSC for direct personal assistance from local people that know first hand whats up.
