This is what gets me...if there really is nothing wrong with this car, why the heck is it so low already? I couldn't open the Carfax on it but it does say 5 reports have been made on it. If this is legit, does it mean that dealers are already screwing Gen6 owners on their value? Im pretty sure the Gen5 had a couple years before dealers were selling them below value.

Sorry if this is offensive, but I would never shop for a new car on Craigslist. I would put in the model and mileage on car value web sites like KBB or Edmunds and see what the market average is. This will tell you whether an ad is legitimate or suspect.

The industry bible for used car values is neither one of those. Insurance companies and dealers across the country us the NADA guides.

KBB is a recognized industry standard, as with NADA. NADA could be wider in scope because it also covers classic car values.

I looked at a used very low mile 2016 before I purchased my latest Gen 5

The 2016 was at a great price, Clean Vehicle Report , but was in the "too good to be true" price category.

Sure enough, when running the VIN on a Google search, an old entry from a popular Auto Auction in Pennsylvania popped up, complete with a description of the repossessed car, and the damage that was on it.

I had two dealers offer me 20x untitled loaded 2016-2017 1SS/2SS between $31k-$35k through the end of October. I haven't sourced any for a member yet this month.

Price was dropped to $30,500. You would be a fool to purchase a used '16 at anything above $27k private sale. Made two phone calls this morning to dealer contacts, current Camaro incentives are 25% off MSRP plus any dealer hold backs. Untitled '16 1SS are available as low as $30k right now.

Below 30K, I just received an email from a local dealer offering 12k off of 41,800 MSRP car. At this rate I will be able to pick up a 171LE for low 30's by spring!

Quite a bit more rare, but they are $38k at the moment.
