Ok, first of all i am in LOVE with this car. problem i have is that i live in germany were this no military sales program for chevy. Now dodge on the other hand does have one and i can get a new srt8 for 41k or less. what should i do? i love both cars but am afraid i will not see a camaro in a long time if i chose to wait.

Getting one can be done. Get it while you're on leave.
Hell, maybe a dealer here can have it drop-shipped to a European dealer? |

Hello!
|
Bingo! Order from a dealer on here and ship it over! Container shipping runs $1K to about $1.8K...the higher being door to door with the lower from port to port!
If you want one, you'll find a way. If you want a car, you'll buy what's available (meaning the Dodge...which is a great car too!) |

Yup!
How long have you been there? Are you authorized to bring a vehicle there? (be careful because insuring a vehicle there is VERY VERY expensive!) Order the Camaro while you are on leave. Pick it up when you get home! Why would you want to buy a car that had the worst review when compared to the camaro? Don't buy just to buy... buy because you want the BEST!!

from everybody ive talked to thats been stationed there, they say its not worth bringing a car there. Just buy one there and sell it when you leave. Im a big fan of not selling for something because of patience.

I was at a dealer where a marine purchased a 2010 2SS and had it shipped over to where he was staying at. I believe it was in Germany. When you go on leave back to the states, just order one and have it shipped. If you really want a camaro, don't settle for anything less for convience. I assure you it's worth the wait

I would buy the one you really want. But I think both cars are really nice I love my Camaro SS but the Challenger SRT-8 is also a sweet ride. If you can have it shipped over that is what I would do. If you buy a Camaro and Tune Otto take off the155mph governed off it then take it on the Autoban! That would be so freaking sweet! I've always wanted to get on the atoban!!! If you get to do this keep us posted on how this thing does on it. Fastest I've had mine is 105mph but it rides so smooth feels like you only going about 70mph. Didn't want to get caught speeding so I let off. But if I had a no speed limit highway I'd push her more. Good luck on which ever car you choose.

Ive had the pleasure of going on the Autoban when I was working in Europe, however it was with a Ford taurus (Diesel) but it was fun as hell. I can only imagine being in a 2SS on the autoban would feel like.....:5thgenvert: Just if your in Italy and the polatizi pulls you over, just tell them your an american

Well I'm currently stationed at Aviano AB, Italy. I have a SIM 2SS/RS on order. She was ordered at my hometown dealership in OH. I'm having a POA done up so my Mom can take care of the paper work and have her shipped over here. As for cost of shipping here, it's $2,600 to have her shipped from the VPC in GA right here to Aviano.

41k is such a rip off. Cost less than half that to make the car. (The Challenger)
