This may be pointless, but what about the GM buy back thingamajigger? How does that work? And can you make it work for you?

He took delivery on June 24th. Buy back wasn't in effect then, also only good for 60 days and have to negotiate option at time of purchase.

As far as your car purchases go...those Cadillacs can be very expensive to repair if they break (especially if you are talking Northstars).

I'd be looking at something economical (both price and fuel economy) that would allow you to get things in order quicker. I can speak from ownership experience...the TBSS will eat your lunch on fuel. My average in town was 12mpg to a best of 14mpg on a 2wd model. My highway was around 15-17mpg.

I know you want something "bigger and safer"...but many of the smaller cars have crash ratings that are as good or better and are much cheaper to drive and repair. That's what you need right now so that you can move on.
