ARH Headers...

So everyone who will install headers only will sell ARH so with that said... How hard is it to install headers yourself, such as TSP, Stainless Power, Stainless Works...

I.E any special equipment needed?

i cant tell u about tsp but the dynatechs slide right in and come with detailed inst.

if i had it to do over agin though i would have saved alot of money and got the tsp headers

No special tools needed. It is fairly straight forward but, like most projects, it helps to have an assistant.

What would be a good price installed and tuned on ARH headers w/cats, stopping at the cats

the quotes ive gotten just seem high for something everyone says is an easy install >.<

tune costs money...you really need to install your high quality headers yourself. all you need is a torque wrench

I dont wanna mess with it but i dont want to have to buy top tier headers to have them installed by reputable shops :/

How's it any different installing $2000 headers vs $600 headers? I don't understand what your questioning.

A higher lift jack, jack stands, a decent wrench set (u-joints are helpful) a torque wrench and you should be good to go. I did it over a few days time while i was working 6 on 12 off shift work.

This is what I got going on:

1200 for ARH 1 7/8 w/HFC (leaving the stock catback for now)
225 for ceramic coat
300 for install
500 for JRE tune

To answer your question...headers on this car are easy to install. Soo easy that paying someone else to do it is equivalent to wiping your rear with the money and flushing it. Regardless of the brand or price. And you don't need any special tools. If you want the ARH, then order them and give yourself a good day to tackle it...between 2 and 8 hours. Now I'm not sure if the shops that sell them will only sell them if you also pay to have them install them. I would check around. Maybe they will charge you a bit more for the header if you choose to do the install yourself. But even if, you will still save money doing your own install...and you can brag to others about it when you show them. Otherwise, you can just order the cheaper brands that will charge the same price regardless of who installs them. Either way you can't really go wrong because you will ultimately save money.
